CEO Message: mindSHIFT Review and Outlook

2008 was another year of strong growth for mindSHIFT. Financially the company grew revenues by over 48% and operating profit by over 100%. These results were bolstered by the full year contribution of two acquisitions done in mid 2007 and the acquisition in 2008 of Collaboration Online, a leader in Exchange Hosting.

Throughout the year the company introduced new products to serve our customers. Of note were:


mindSHIFT Awards and Recognition during 2008

Several of the business units received special recognition in the industry. The Legal Group was again recognized by ILTA for being one of the premier service providers in this sector. And the Exchange Hosting Group was recognized by Microsoft as the Partner of the Year for hosting.

mindSHIFT Infrastructure Investments

Throughout 2008, the company continued to enhance and expand its infrastructure with additional capital investment exceeding $4 million:
  • upgrades to network servers and switches,
  • additional capacity to support the growth of messaging (over 2.3 billion messages processed) and electronic storage (1,600 TB, or 1.6 PB, of data)
  • additional IT and network management systems.


In addition the company expanded its hosting footprint by adding capacity for over 125 new racks. During the year the company recertified its SAS 70 Type II certification for work flow processes and change management controls

In summary, 2008 was another successful year for mindSHIFT.  A special word of thanks goes to our customers for making this growth possible. Many have commented how our suite of services can save them substantial operating expenses in a time of economic uncertainty. Finally, a word of thanks to our employees for their dedication and commitment in serving our customers.
