mindSHIFT operates four secure Data Centers throughout the U.S.in four geographically dispersed locations -- Ashburn, VA; Somerville, MA,; Langhorne, PA; and Commack, NY. These facilities are fully N+1 redundant and physically secure.
With several secure SAS 70 Type II data centers and world-class Network Operations Centers (NOCs), mindSHIFT provides the highest levels of security, reliability and uptime.
Our data centers are fully N+1 redundant and they are “command central” for the management of LAN and WAN infrastructure, network security services and disaster recovery solutions.

Physical Security
Access to the data center is restricted to authorized personnel by two-factor authentication, including biometric scanners.
Regulated Environment
Redundant heating and cooling systems to maintain an optimal environment. Data center space is individually monitored to manage heat, humidity and power consumption. A hot-aisle/cool-aisle design is utilized to optimize cooling and power requirements.
Redundant Power
On-site redundant power sources include Liebert uninterruptible power supplies, redundant battery cabinets and backup generators with an on-site multiple-day fuel supply. Failover systems are regularly tested to ensure a seamless cutover.
Network Infrastructure and Backbone
Our data centers are designed on Cisco multilevel architecture with redundant fiber optic connections from multiple Tier 1 carriers. This enables us to provision a variety of mindSHIFT-managed dedicated circuits, all the way up to gigabit Ethernet (GigE) connections.
