SAS 70 Type II Certification Demonstrates mindSHIFT Technologies' Consistent Operational Excellence and Service Quality
mindSHIFT Managed IT and VoIP Services Pass Rigorous Audit for Third Year in a Row

mindSHIFT Technologies, a leading provider of managed technology services, announced its core managed services business has once again achieved third-party validation under the Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70 (SAS 70) Type II. The SAS 70 certification is an internationally-recognized standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) that is internationally recognized as a mark of service quality.
mindSHIFT’s 2009 SAS 70 Type II certification, its third in as many years, covers nine specific areas -- including network monitoring, customer service, data backup, change management, deployment and physical security -- in its core managed services business.

Publicly traded companies use SAS 70 Type II audits as proof of compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley's Section 404 regulations, which require the design and test of operating effectiveness of service organization controls. Type 1 certification reports on a company’s controls in operation, while Type II certification also tests an organization’s operating effectiveness over a period of time to demonstrate consistent compliance with the controls. mindSHIFT was audited over the twelve-month period from October 2008 through September 2009.
