MALVERN, PA - December 8, 2015
IDG's Computerworld announces Balaji Rangaswamy, CIO of Ricoh Americas Corporation, and Bob Lamendola, General Manager, Infrastructure Services at mindSHIFT Technologies, a Ricoh company, as 2016 Premier 100 Technology Leaders honorees. This year’s Premier 100 spotlights 100 leaders from both the technology and business sides of companies for their exceptional technology leadership and innovative approaches to business challenges.
"The Premier 100 awards program showcases the strategic thinking of an elite group of IT leaders who are using technology to digitally transform their organizations," said Scot Finnie, editor in chief of Computerworld.
"These dedicated executives are creating nimble IT organizations to respond quickly to today's business needs, and to the influx of technologies such as cloud computing, the Internet of Things, social media, mobile and wearables. They are actively recruiting talented IT pros for their departments and grooming them to take on new roles. They're also constantly adjusting their risk management strategies to align with the evolving security landscape.
"These 100 men and women are working hand in hand with their business colleagues to give their organizations a competitive edge, while giving their employees a place to grow their careers. We're pleased to recognize their leadership and honor their achievements."
“It is an honor to see Balaji and Bob recognized by Computerworld on this prestigious list of technology leaders,” said Martin Brodigan, Chairman and CEO of Ricoh Americas Corporation. “At Ricoh, we’re committed to fostering a culture of innovation and change, and I’m grateful to have such strong leaders who help us bring this vision to life every day.”
Together with their teams, Rangaswamy and Lamendola have been enabling Ricoh’s transformation from a hardware-focused company to a services-led organization.
The Premier 100 awards ceremony will be one of the highlights of the AGENDA16 Conference held March 21 - 23, 2016, at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort, Amelia Island, Florida. The Conference, to be attended by more than 300 influential business and senior IT executives, will focus on building the digital business. About the Premier 100 Technology Leadership Awards
The Premier 100 program was created in 2000 to spotlight individuals who have had a positive impact on their organizations through technology. These are individuals who manage internal IT organizations, mentor and motivate their IT teams and business colleagues, create a positive work environment, envision innovative solutions to business challenges and effectively manage and execute IT strategies. Each year, nominees are invited to complete a questionnaire that addresses a number of topics, including their background and experience and their attitude toward risk and innovation. Using Computerworld’s IT Leader Index, which is a measurement of how closely an individual matches our definition of the IT Leader, we analyze the data. Each year, 100 honorees are selected to receive this life-time recognition award. Information on previous honorees can be viewed at: www.computerworld.com/s/article/9065479/Premier_100_IT_Leaders
